Did you know that the tradition of the Christmas tree is also from Germany? And the American fruit cake was based on the German Christstollen. Christmas time in Germany is really beautiful. If you ever get the chance, travel to Germany before Christmas and indulge in all the lights and treats. A little taste of this can also be found in Philadelphia where you can find a Christmas Village each year from Black Friday until December 24th. (With real German treats!!) |
Oh Tannenbaum is popular German Christmas song about the evergreen tree, which is not just green in the summer, but all winter long. This little video shows you a little animation while you can listen to the song. Enjoy! |
